Plan to attend the 18th Annual Bryan C. Pottberg Memorial Golf Tournament at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club in Lee’s Summit. The tournament will be August 16th, 2021. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund scholarships for high school seniors who will be pursuing a career in public safety. Proceeds may also be used to fund improvements at Pottberg Park.
Bryan Pottberg died in the line of duty while serving the Lee’s Summit Fire Department on July 15, 1999. This tournament helps to keep Bryan’s memory alive and honor his sacrifice. We hope to see you out on the golf course. More info on the tournament, to view the flyer, and how to get involved can be found here.

With consideration for health and safety during Covid-19, Local 2195 will be hosting our boot block electronically this year. It wouldn’t be prudent to place our firefighters on the street corners interacting with thousands of citizens over the several days that the boot block occurs.

As many know, the Boot Block is a major contributor to Lee’s Summit Social Services (LSSS) and we still want our citizens to have the opportunity to keep LSSS funded. Instead of dropping money in the boot on the corner of 3rd and Douglas, you can make a financial contribution through Paypal to the Lee’s Summit Firefighter Charities.
